The 21-year-old academy product, who is comfortable at prop or hooker, has made 17 appearances for the Warriors so far this term.

Director of rugby Mike Ruddock is delighted to agree a new deal with the England Under-20 international, a former Bromsgrove School pupil.

"It is fantastic news that we can announce that Matt has decided to extend this development at Sixways Stadium by signing a new two-year contract," he said.

"Matt is a fine prospect indeed. He is able to play in more than one position, playing for England at age level at prop and also at hooker and prop for Warriors.

"His ability to come in at more than one position is very advantageous to the team."

Mullan was also pleased to have extended his stay.

"I'm delighted to sign a new deal at Warriors. I have really enjoyed this season and being a part of the first team squad," he said.

"I have grown up at this club over the last five years and have been helped throughout with my development by the coaching staff.

"This season I have also had Darren Morris and Tony Windo guiding me and they have also been fantastic for my career.

"I always wanted to play for Warriors and look forward to not only improving as a player but also being a big part in the exciting future here at Sixways Stadium."
