Grimsby are waiting for news on the futures of Gary Montgomery and Jamie Clarke after offering both players new deals at Blundell Park.Goalkeeper Montgomery and utility man Clarke have both been handed the opportunity to stay on with the League Two outfit, as boss Alan Buckley begins to organise his squad for the new campaign.

Buckley has already extended the contracts of Ryan Bennett, Nick Hegarty, Nathan Jarman and Andy Taylor - and Danny North has also agreed to a further two-year deal.

Youngsters Matty Bird and Grant Normington are the other names to have put pen to paper since the end of the season.
