Bellamy double fires Irons to win

Craig Bellamy struck twice as West Ham beat Hampton and Richmond Borough 4-2 in front of a 3,000 crowd at Beveree Stadium on Thursday night.Hampton striker Francis Quarm, who ironically works in the IT department at Upton Park, gave the Conference South team the lead with a wonder volley that beat keeper Robert Green on 36 minutes.

Bellamy equalised a minute later when he finished off a knockdown by Dean Ashton and Mark Noble put the Hammers in front four minutes before half-time after neat build-up by Lucas Neill and Ashton.

Bellamy claimed his second goal courtesy of a first-time finish from Julien Faubert's cross to make it 3-1 on the hour.

Laurence Yacu then pulled a goal back with a close-range shot which beat substitute keeper Jimmy Walker but substitute Zavon Hines made the game safe with West Ham's fourth goal nine minutes from the end.
