Sheffield United's Carling Cup tie with Port Vale at Bramall Lane will go ahead on Wednesday, August 13.The Blades' first-round clash has had to be switched due to Sheffield Wednesday's home Carling Cup draw against South Yorkshire neighbours Rotherham, which will take place on Tuesday, August 12.

Kevin Blackwell's side will be looking to go one step further than their 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the fourth round at Bramall Lane last season.
