Sunderland midfielder Dwight Yorke says he is waiting to hear if Black Cats boss Roy Keane will offer him a new one-year deal. The former Manchesdter United star joined Sunderland in August 2006 from Sydney FC and helped the club win the Championship title before making 20 appearances this season, scoring one goal.
Yorke's experience has proved invaluable and the former Trinidad and Tobago international is hoping for another campaign at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League.
Yorke, 36, told the Daily Mail: "He (Keane) knows my number but I don't know what my plans are going to be or where I'll be.
"I'll wait and see if the phone rings and the manager wants to speak to me."
