Yeovil climbed into seventh in the League One table following a 2-1 victory at Doncaster.
Goals either side of half-time from Darren Way and Marcus Stewart secured the points for the Glovers, while Terry Skiverton's own goal in injury-time proved only a consolation for Rovers after Stewart was sent-off.
After an evenly-balanced opening it was the visitors who forged ahead when Way's shot struck Stephen Roberts and looped over Neil Sullivan on 38 minutes.
Despite an improved showing after half-time, things went from bad to worse for Doncaster when Stewart's 78th-minute header into the roof of the net clinched the contest.
However, it proved a mixed afternoon's work for Stewart as he was given his marching orders for collecting his second yellow card.
Rovers did pull one back deep into injury-time when Skiverton found the back of his own net, although there was not enough time for the home side to snatch a last-gasp draw.
