Wakefield coach John Kear believes his in-form players will be able to maintain their focus despite the lure of Wembley.
A quarter-final home tie with National League part-timers Oldham has given the Wildcats the sense of a place in the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final in August.
Kear, who has won the cup with Sheffield Eagles and Hull, would love the chance to make history by coaching a third team to glory but in the meantime is determined to concentrate on the engage Super League, starting with Friday night's visit to table-toppers Leeds.
Kear's men, who will be aiming to atone for a 44-8 home defeat by the champions back in February, go to Headingley seeking to extend their winning run to seven league and cup matches and their coach is adamant their quarter-final will not be a distraction.
"Not at all - we can go into cup mode and we can go into Super League mode," Kear said.
"We had a team meeting earlier this week when we looked back at the Barrow game and discussed the cup draw and said 'right, we'll put that to bed'.
"For the here and now is Leeds, at Leeds, which is probably the biggest challenge that Super League will present you with this year. Then it's Wigan which will also be a big challenge."
Wakefield have gradually been getting their players back from injury but they suffered another major blow when prop forward Adam Watene, who only recently returned from compassionate leave in New Zealand following the death of his father, was ruled out for three months with a knee injury.
Leeds, who have the chance to open up a seven-point lead, are boosted by the return of international quartet Brent Webb, Ryan Bailey, Ali Lauitiiti and Eric Anselme, which gives coach Brian McClennan the opportunity to stand down teenagers Kallum Watkins, Ben Jones-Bishop and Danny Allan.
In Friday night's other game Wigan will be aiming to halt their slide down the table when they meet Warrington in another derby at the JJB Stadium.
The Warriors were riding high in second spot after beating Leeds a month ago but have dropped out of the top six on the back of a run of three successive defeats.
Warrington, who halted a four-match losing run with victory over Huddersfield in Cardiff a fortnight ago, have Martin Gleeson, Robert Parker and Jon Clarke all returning to offset the loss of injured duo Paul Johnson and Stuart Reardon.
