Final league standings from the top-flight competitions in Poland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Turkey, Switzerland and Austria.

FOOTBALL PSV Eindhoven - 0

Polish Ekstraklasa

Wisla Krakow were crowned Polish champions for the fourth time in six seasons, although it was their first title win in three years.

Legia Warsaw were runners-up while last season's champions, Zaglebie Lubin, finished a disappointing fifth.

Widzew Lodz - who won the league in 1996 and 1997 - were relegated for their part in a corruption scandal, which also saw bottom club Zaglebie Sosnowiec demoted to the third division.

Netherlands Eredivisie

PSV Eindhoven won the Dutch league once again, by a three-point margin over Ajax, who scored an incredible 94 goals in 34 matches but still had to be content with a runners-up spot.

It was the final season of the complicated and controversial play-off system used to decide all European places and relegation/promotion spots. These matches are still ongoing.

Portugal Liga

Porto still won the Portuguese title despite being found guilty of corruption in the 2003/4 season.

They were only docked six points and fined 150,000 euros for their part in a referee-bribery scandal that saw Boavista relegated and fined 180,000 euros.

Porto had already established a 20-point lead over second-placed Sporting by the end of the season, which rendered the punishment meaningless.

Leiria finished bottom and will play in the second division next season, while second-bottom Pacos de Ferreira may have a stay of execution if Boavista's punishment is upheld.

Belgian Jupiler League

Standard Liege only lost once all season as they beat Anderlecht to the Belgian title in a season that was overshadowed by the death of Club Brugge striker Francois Sterchele.

Sterchele died in a car crash just before the final game of his first season at Brugge, who finished third and qualified for the UEFA Cup.

FC Brussels finished bottom, relegated for the first time since the the club was created by fusing RWD Molenbeek and KFC Strombeek in 2003. Sint-Truidense were also relegated after finishing 17th.

Turkish Super League

Galatasaray equalled Fenerbahce's record of 17 Turkish title wins by a six-point margin over their Istanbul rivals.

Fener only edged surprise package Sivaspor on goal-difference, while Besiktas also finished on 73 points in fourth.

Rizespor came bottom and will be joined by Kasmpaa and Manisaspor in the second division next season.

Switzerland Super League

FC Basel were crowned Swiss champions for the fourth time in seven seasons to end recent dominance by FC Zurich, who finished well behind Young Boys Bern in third.

FC Thun came bottom and went down to the Challenge League and will be replaced by Liechtenstein club FC Vaduz - a huge achievement for a town of around 5,000.

Austrian Bundesliga

Rapid Vienna won the Austrian Bundesliga for the first time since 2005 after they beat 2007 champions Red Bull Salzburg to the finish line.

Wacker Innsbruck went down and will be replaced by First League winners Linz.
