Liam Chilvers, Billy Jones and Wayne Henderson are all making good progress as they continue their rehabilitation to be fit for next season. With most of the North End squad taking a summer break, head of the club's medical department Matt Radcliffe has revealed the Deepdale treatment room will be a busy place in the coming months.
He told the club's official website: "Liam (Achilles) is making excellent progress. He is way ahead of schedule so we have to put the reins on him at the minute. It's nine weeks since he had his operation. It's important he doesn't get carried away but we feel we've got it just right at the moment and he is doing very well.
"Regarding Billy, we've just got him back from an ultrasound scan and we've had the 'all clear'. We are going to keep an eye on it but he has done really well.
"Wayne (back) has got a long period ahead of him now. We've got a series of injections to do which will numb the pain in his back, then we can get in there and do more physio. He's been patient and has worked very hard."
