Gueret dedicates award to team

Thu 15 May, 02:30 PM

Milton Keynes Dons goalkeeper Willy Gueret hailed his team-mates after being handed the Puma Golden Glove award in League Two.The Frenchman claimed the prize for keeping 23 clean sheets during the promotion winning campaign but insists he could not have done it without the aid of the ruthless defensive unit in front of him.

He told the club's official website: "I'm pleased with the 23, it shows how well we've done as a team and I'm pleased with the way I've been playing too.

"For a goalkeeper it's great to keep clean sheets but I would never have kept as many without the boys in front of me.

"My back four, the boys in midfield and even the boys up front have worked hard to make things difficult for the other team.

"Without them it wouldn't happen so the clean sheets are a sign of how well we've all been doing not just me."
