Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond is looking forward to the challenge of facing Championship outfit Cardiff in the Carling Cup.The Cherries will host last season's FA Cup finalists in the first round of the competition in the week commencing August 11.

Bond said: "It is a good draw for us. They are a good side, they play good football and it will be a good fixture for us.

"It is nice to have a home draw as well. It will be a tough game for us but it should be a good game as well."
