Potters boss cautious over signings

Wed 14 May, 05:00 PM

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis insists he will adopt a prudent stance in the transfer market as he prepares to splash the cash this summer.Promotion to the Premier League will see Pulis handed a bumper transfer kitty over the coming months as he plots to establish the Potters as a top-flight side.

But Pulis has vowed to only sign players that can aid the club in the long term.

"There are players who want to join us, but as I have said before we need to get the right players in to this club," said Pulis.

"They have got to have the same attitude, enthusiasm and love for the club as the lads who are already here have got.

"We can't afford to have players coming in who feel they are doing us a favour. If we do that we are going to fail because when push comes to shove they will go running."
