Trevor Sinclair was pleased to find the net against Blackpool after admitting he wondered if he'd ever score for the Bluebirds again.Sinclair, 35, opened his account for Cardiff against West Brom in the Carling Cup back in September but had failed to add to his tally since until netting against one of his former clubs on Saturday.
Sinclair told the Western Mail: "It does go through your mind that you're not going to get it. But I was confident it would come along if I kept on getting in the right positions.
"I've missed chances so I wasn't too concerned, and the main thing is that the team has been getting the right results."
The former England international also insisted the Bluebirds will not give up on the slim hope of finishing in the play-off positions while it is still achievable.
He added: "The gaffer (Dave Jones) has told us he wants us fighting on both fronts for as long as we can because it will keep us sharp, keep us hungry for success. Until it's impossible for us to get into the play-offs, we'll strive for it."
