Kevin Bond's Bournemouth will host losing FA Cup finalists Cardiff City in the first round of the Carling Cup in August.The Cherries will be hoping for better luck than four years ago, when after a 3-3 third-round draw against the Bluebirds they lost 5-4 on penalties.

Bournemouth fell to a 1-0 defeat at promoted West Brom in last season's first round.

The tie will be played in the week commencing August 11.
