Peterborough's record signing Joe Lewis is aiming to "cap off a great season" by winning his first England Under-21 cap on Thursday. The 20-year-old goalkeeper joined Darren Ferguson's side for £400,000 from Norwich in January and has been named in Stuart Pearce's squad to face Wales.
And with regular keeper Joe Hart expected to play just 45 minutes due to his involvement in Fabio Capello's senior squad Lewis could be in line for his first cap.
He told the club's official website: "Until we have been told the starting line-up I won't be getting carried away but there could be a chance I could be involved.
"Stuart Pearce has said that he wants to try and give players who have been in the squad but haven't featured a game and hopefully that will include myself.
"My first appearance would cap off a great season for me."
