Top draft pick Derrick Rose has been withdrawn from the summer league by the Chicago Bulls after suffering tendonitis in his right knee.
News of the injury was reported in the Chicago Tribune.
The point guard missed three summer league games earlier this week before the Bulls, who said the condition was not serious, withdrew him from the league.
"They say it keeps happening because I'm young and my legs aren't strong enough," Rose told the Tribune.
Rose averaged 14.9 points per game and 4.7 assists in leading the University of Memphis as a freshman to the finals of the NCAA Tournament.
