Augusto Farfus and Joerg Mueller dominated FIA WTCC testing at Estoril ahead of the weekend's racing in Portugal.
The BMW Germany team-mates thrived in unseasonal drizzle, with the Brazilian Farfus setting the pace with a best lap of 1:47.997.
Britain's triple world champion Andy Priaulx made up an all-BMW top three, with Chevrolet duo Alain Menu and Robert Huff fourth and fifth.
Portuguese Tiago Monteiro put in a solid sixth-place effort in front of local fans, but current championship leader Gabriele Tarquini struggled in 13th.
Liqui Moly Team Engstler's Andrey Romanov missed the session due to travel difficulties; he missed his plane and did not reach the track in time.
