First team coach Luigi De Canio has left Queens Park Rangers by mutual consent after less than a season in charge of the club.
De Canio took over from John Gregory in October and quickly helped guide the club out of relegation trouble and into a safe mid-table position.
The Italian was appointed by the club's new owners which include Formula One tycoons Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, but they are expected to install a more high-profile boss in the summer.
World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane is among those linked with the position.
"Queens Park Rangers have parted company with first team coach Luigi De Canio by mutual consent with immediate effect," read a club statement.
"The club would like to place on the record its thanks to Luigi for his contribution to QPR and wish him all the best for a successful future.
"Mr De Canio also wanted to express his gratitude for the opportunity to manage Queens Park Rangers and also for the fantastic experience he had during his time in England."
