Connacht have announced the signing of Ireland A scrum-half Frank Murphy from Guinness Premiership champions Leicester.

Murphy has made almost 50 appearances for the Tigers since joining them from Munster in 2006, including last season's Heineken Cup final against Wasps when he replaced an injured Harry Ellis.

Ireland Under-21 international Murphy made his A team debut in the Barclays Churchill Cup last year.
