Serie A - Milan in Chelsea Kaka claim

Eurosport - Mon, 07 Jul 09:47:00 2008

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says the club have received an offer for Kaka from Chelsea.

He did not, however, say when the bid was made or what was offered.

Kaka has been linked with a big-money move to Chelsea after his fellow Brazilian, Luiz Felipe Scolari, took charge at Stamford Bridge.

Milan have repeatedly stated the playmaker is not for sale, while Kaka has voiced his intention to stay at the San Siro.

Galliani claims Chelsea have tried to tempt the club into parting with Kaka and that the Rossoneri have also received enquiries for influential midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

"For Kaka, a really big offer has arrived from Chelsea," Galliani told La Stampa.

"For Pirlo, there have been many requests. As for him, neither Pirlo nor his agent have come in to my office asking for an improvement in his salary."

Meanwhile, Galliani says Milan supporters should not be disheartened if the club do not make any further signings this summer, despite the interest in Emmanuel Adebayor and Ronaldinho.

He added: "We do not have a transfer kitty stashed away here. Despite failing to qualify for the Champions League, the club is strengthening the squad and increasing the wages. This means we'll be £35million in the red without [owner Silvio] Berlusconi's help.

"The fans should be happy, as all we'd need to do in order to wipe out our debts is sell Kaka and Andrea Pirlo. Instead they won't move, so if that's not a show of love for this club, I don't know what is.

"It is incredible that the supporters are not celebrating the arrival of Marco Borriello, who scored 19 goals last season, the fact Alexandre Pato can finally play a full campaign, Mathieu Flamini from Arsenal and World Cup winner Gianluca Zambrotta.

"As a fan, I too hope something else will happen, but Milan have already reinforced their squad."

  2. Space bar, Shift key, proper noun, sentence, syntax... these are the things that should be occupying your thoughts right now, not all this ballacks and ca ca about Abramovich's toy team. Between your collective ignorance and Chelsea's never-ending quest to become the dullest way to dump a fortune, why I could just rip my hair out!

  3. If Kaka leaves, how high would Milan's average age of players be? I'd love to see him play in England, but not sure how he'd fit in (unsure about Deco, too, not speak of Fat Ronny II...). One thing seems certain, though, with big Phil Chelsea's football is about to become very different. I'm curious to see how more "Latino power" will change Premier League football...!? But I must also say, I belong to those who would also love to see more British talent! I am saddened by the importance money plays nowadays... David Bentley should join Liverpool, Lampard should stay at Chelsea.

  12. I only mentioned Kaka because Messi wouldn't even get in our squad but you are biased because Kaka is not a good player he's an average one. Ronaldo is the best in the world by a long way and that's why no one could afford him. Kaka and Messi can be bought but Man Utd do not even bother bidding because neither can improve our squad

  13. Kaka "not good enough" to start for MAN U?

Kaka is twice the player that "the best Argentine Tevez" is...

He's better than anyone on Man U (including Ronaldo), and better than anyone other than Lio Messi...

From Burt H, on Mon 7 Jul 3:33PM
  14. Not being one to say I told you so but I told you so. I said months ago that Ronaldo will stay at United and it turns out he is staying. Real Madrid could not afford the 200 million plus Sneidjer and Robino. To rub salt in the wound Man Utd are buying Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for a steal at 18 million, making the worlds best team even stronger. We can now afford about 15 serious injuries and still lift the Premiership and Champions League. I am so pleased we put Real Madrid in their place.

Kaka wouldn't play for a second rate team like Chelsea. he wanted to come to Old Trafford but we said it would be on the understanding that he spent most of his time on the bench. He cannot be guaranteed a place in our first team because we already have 15 of the worlds best players. Including the best Argentine player on the planet , Tevez. Looks like we will win everything again.

Message to "fredngeorge07" first of all you haven't got a clue as to what you are attempting to portray; secondly; i suggest you go back to school (if you ever went to school in the first place) and ask to be taught how to spell and while you are there, learn grammer as well......you are a joke!!!!!!

  17. Neither Kaka nor Ronaldinho nor Messi will ever come to play in the Premier League !! No great Brazilian or Argentian player ever has or ever will !!

    From RUtalking2me?, on Mon 7 Jul 1:26PM
  18. kaka on chelsea? even if they put the whole brazilian team on the squad, chelsea will still not win the premiere league neither the champions league. the fact is, they can never compare themselves to the mighty manchester united red devils!
