New Crystal Palace recruit Johannes Ertl believes his experience of playing in different countries can help his side prosper this season.The 25-year-old defender joined from Austria Wien on a two-year contract and has targeted promotion to the Premier League.

The Austria international told the club's official website: "In the last two years I have played in the UEFA Cup and it was a big experience and a big challenge for me.

"We played really good teams across Europe such as Galatasaray and Ajax, and I think I can use my international experience to help Palace to get into a very good place at the end of next season."
