The San Jose Sharks have acquired defensemen Dan Boyle and Brad Lukowich (21) in a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Lightning receive defenseman Matt Carle, as well as defensive prospect Ty Wishart, a first-round pick in 2009 and fourth-rounder the year after.

The Sharks lost in the Western Conference semi-finals last season.
