New signing Paul McLaren admits Bradford cannot allow their tag as favourites to distract them from winning promotion from League Two.But the midfielder is determined his stay in League Two will be a short one, after rejecting a contract extension with League One Tranmere.

McLaren told the Telegraph & Argus: "Bradford are one of the favourites to go up and you've just got to deal with it. The manager thinks we can win promotion and I've come here to do that.

"Of course we're a big scalp in this division. This is a massive ground for League Two and teams will think it's a big day to come here.

"There are not many big grounds in this division so teams will be desperate to take our scalp. We've just got to live with that and get on with playing football and winning games."
