A look ahead to the weekend's action in Serie A, where Paolo Maldini could still be playing next season.
* Milan captain Paolo Maldini has yet to decide if he will retire at the end of the season.
"I'm thinking about (playing on) even if every morning I wake up with a different idea," the 39-year-old told Italian sport daily Gazzetta dello Sport.
"It doesn't depend on results. With the career I've had, I don't need to quit with success."
Maldini is likely to feature in sixth-placed Milan's home game with struggling Cagliari on Saturday (kick off 18:30) because centre-back Alessandro Nesta is suspended following his red card for protesting at last weekend's 2-1 home defeat by Atalanta.
* Francesco Totti is out of AS Roma's home match with Genoa on Saturday (16:00) as he battles to overcome a thigh problem in time for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg at Manchester United. Midfielder David Pizarro is suspended.
* Leaders Internazionale, four points ahead of second-placed Roma, are likely to be without injured striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Sunday's trip to Atalanta (13:00).
* Juventus in third travel to Palermo for Sunday's late game (18:30) with midfielder Cristiano Zanetti ruled out with a thigh injury. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is set to play as his back problem continues to ease.
* Fourth-placed Fiorentina look to shrug off the disappointment of Thursday's 1-1 home draw with PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Cup when they entertain Reggina on Sunday (13:00).
* Striker Antonio Cassano is poised to return to Sampdoria's starting lineup after completing a five-game ban for throwing his shirt in the direction of the referee.
Samp, pushing for a UEFA Cup place, host lowly Livorno on Sunday (13:00).
