The FIA WTCC will expand to Africa in 2009 with the addition of a race meeting in Marrakech, Morocco.
The world championship is now set to visit four continents next year; the Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia.
Morocco's first international grand prix in more than 50 years was launched during a crowded press conference at Marrakech's El Saadi Palace.
The historical city will host the WTCC on a new temporary street circuit in the heart of the red city on May 3, 2009.
The last international car race staged solely in Morocco was a Formula One grand prix in Casablanca in 1958.
"This will be everybody's grand prix," said the president of the Marrakech GP Ali Horma.
"We all have to work together to prove the world that Morocco can build a street circuit and organise a motorsport event according to FIA standards.
"And to do this we need to mobilize all our resources.
"This event will have an unprecedented impact on Moroccan economy and tourism."

so albania or morocco, what problem does it pose? some wrc events(a much more popular sport) take place in jordan, mexico, argentina and keniya and prove to be very succesful. the only problem it really causes is annoy some racists like yourself
And why not an Albainian GP...... are we talking about MOTOR SPORT or tourism.. B/E has his head up his ass and all he can see is $$$$$
