It will be the fourth MotoGP in Shanghai, described this week as a "strange" circuit by the riders - but with some high speed straights to whet the appetite, who will you go for in your dream team?

RIDERS

This is where the majority of your points will come from, so choose carefully.

The leading riders in the championship standings cannot be too happy with the approach to the weekend so far. Jorge Lorenzo (13m) has had surgery on his forearm, although he claims he is in tip-top shape, while Dani Pedrosa (19m) has admitted he does not like the Shanghai track.

However rookie Lorenzo is a no-brainer at 13 mil, especially having won from pole with the quarter-litre engine last year, setting a track record time in the process. Pedrosa's comments are strange, given that he took his maiden MotoGP win in China in 2006, but he is still without that pneumatic valve engine.

Five-times world champion Valentino Rossi (20m) seems expensive at this price, having gone the longest period of his career without a grand prix win while being outperformed by team-mate Lorenzo as he struggles to adapt to Bridgestone tyres.

Casey Stoner (20m) is fourth in the drivers' standings and lurking with intent - and won in China in 2007 - but leave him this weekend as the Ducati bike is not quite right. MotoGP rookie James Toseland (15.5m) faces another new track after Estoril but should put in a solid performance as he gets to grip with his new bike.

Nicky Hayden (16m) seems a bargain at that price, but is struggling at present and crashed out at Estoril in round three.

If you've got money to spare and fancy a gamble go with John Hopkins (18m), who in his 100th GP will look to continue his improving results. Colin Edwards (17m) has been consistent up to now and may be worth a shot.

Andrea Dovizioso (10.5m) is the best shout at the bottom end of the scale, with the exception of Lorenzo - but only go with both if you are deliberately ignoring our sage advice and splashing most of your cash on things other than riders.

TEAMS

Fiat Yamaha (11m) is widely expected to be best-suited to the circuit and has outperformed the Ducatis this season while being a whole 1.5m cheaper.

If you believe in the realism and track accuracy of the MotoGP computer game, then risk it all on satellite Yamaha team Tech 3 (8m): for that is the only experience Toseland has got of Shanghai, having never tested there either.

TYRES

Michelin (7m) have dominated in the last two races, despite their slightly cheaper price, although Bridgestone (7.5m) took all three podium places in last year's race.

MANUFACTURER

Go with Yamaha (7.5m) instead of Ducati (9m) or Honda (8m). The latter are a bit risky with an unconfident Pedrosa and misfiring Hayden on board.
